“Fresh perspective a boost for International Dairy Week”

International Dairy Week is pleased to announce the appointment of Emmelie Nijskens, as the show’s Events Coordinator.

Emmelie expressed excitement about the opportunity, stating “I am stoked to join the International Dairy Week team, and bring a fresh perspective to the event. I am eager to work with our partners and exhibitors to deliver another great year of IDW that embraces and showcases the dairy industry at its best.”

Emmelie was born and raised on a dairy farm in The Netherlands, before immigrating to South West Victoria where her parents still operate a dairy farm today.

With a proven track record in events management, and a passion for the dairy industry, Emmelie brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the role. Also managing Sheepvention Rural Expo in Hamilton, and recently launching her own events business ‘Rural Reach Events’, her expertise in organising large-scale events and passion for the dairy community makes her an ideal candidate to assist in bringing IDW into its next phase of growth.

Occurring annually in January at Tatura Park, Tatura - International Dairy Week (IDW) is the largest annual dairy conference and sale in the Southern Hemisphere and is nationally and internationally recognised as being amongst the top five cattle shows in the world.

It is indisputably the most prestigious event in the Australian dairy industry, showcasing the best quality dairy cattle to over 4,500 visitors from every state in Australia and over 20 countries internationally - whilst also providing opportunities to showcase the latest developments in dairy farming practice, breeding, genetics, machinery, equipment, technology and services, environmental issues, seminars, livestock marketing, property tours and promotion of dairy food products.

International Dairy Week will take place on Saturday 18th until Thursday 23rd January 2025, at Tatura Park, Tatura.
